What exactly is Somewhere?
Independent shared living. Adults rent furnished rooms in real homes and share the kitchen, living room, laundry and other common spaces. We provide the house, not care or supervision.
How much does it cost?
Shared rooms start at $200 per week. Private rooms and suites vary by home, so ask us about pricing and availability. Utilities and Wi-Fi are included in every rate.
There's a one-time, nonrefundable $200 move-in administrative fee and no security deposit. Your first payment is due at move-in.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Weekly and monthly payment options are available. If you receive Social Security, SSDI, a pension or other monthly benefits, ask about our monthly payment arrangements.
Who is a good fit?
Adults who can manage their day-to-day needs, pay their housing costs and live respectfully with other people. You don't have to be everybody's new best friend. You do have to clean up after yourself and respect closed doors.
Can someone with a disability live at Somewhere?
Absolutely. A diagnosis doesn't tell us whether someone can live independently. What matters is whether the person can manage their daily needs in a shared home, with or without a reasonable accommodation or outside support they arrange. Accessibility features vary by house, so let's talk honestly about what's needed.
Does a criminal record disqualify me?
Not automatically. Every applicant is screened individually for income and background, and we look at the whole picture, not just one chapter.
Can I see the house first?
Yes. Tours are available in person or by video.
Do you provide care, meals or transportation?
No care or meals. Somewhere doesn't provide medical or nursing care, personal care, medication management, behavioral-health treatment, meals or supervision. Residents manage their own daily needs or arrange outside services.
Transportation isn't included in rent, but may be available for an additional fee. Just ask.
Can I have friends or family over?
Somewhere homes don't allow social guests, so every resident comes home to a quiet, private house. You're free to come and go and see friends and family anywhere else. Case managers, home health aides, supervision officers, emergency services and approved vendors are welcome as needed, and accommodation requests are always considered.
Are there house rules?
Of course. Grown people sharing a home need clear expectations about noise, cleaning, shared spaces and respecting one another. We just don't think rules need to make a home feel like detention.
Does an inquiry guarantee a room?
No. An open room has to be the right room for you and for the people already living there. We'd rather give an honest "not this house" than make the wrong match just to fill a bed.
